Seven vehicles collide in Sanga during traffic jam, two injured

Kathmandu: Two people were injured when seven vehicles collided near Sanga of Kavre, along the Araniko Highway. during a traffic jam.

Seven vehicles were involved in an accident in front of Putali Resort in Sanga on the road section in ward-13 Banepa Municipality on Wednesday at 3:45 PM.

According to Kavre District Police Office, Prakash Sapkota (48) of Panauti-2, who was riding a motorcycle (Ba.63 Pa 7), and Deevina Karmacharya (18 of Banepa-5, who was riding a scooter (Ba. Pra .-02-044 Pa 0573) were injured.

They were rushed to Scheer Memorial Adventist Hospital in Banepa.

According to police, a tanker (Ba. Pra. 01003 Ka 9945) carrying petroleum was lined up.  Behind it were scooters and bikes. Ba. In the meantime, a car (Ba 7 Cha 4537) collided with the tanker.

Behind the car, another vehicle (Ba.Pra.-01-026 Cha 9239) was hit. In the series, another car (BACO 23) hit the vehicle’s rear end. Then, a cargo truck Na 7 Kha 541 bumped, which was behind the car.

Besides the tanker and cargo vehicle, all other vehicles were damaged, informed police.
