Independence Day of Pakistan celebrated

Kathmandu: Embassy of Pakistan in Kathmandu celebrated its 78th Independence Day on Wednesday. Ambassador of Pakistan Abrar H Hashmi unfurled the national flag at the ceremony attended by embassy officials, Pakistani community and Nepali friends.

Messages of President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Shebaz Sharif and Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister were read out on the occasion.

Pakistan Embassy in collaboration with Nepal-Pakistan Friendship and Cultural Association (NPFCA) organized an Independence Day Reception at Hilton Hotel. Vice President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav was the Chief Guest. Special guests included Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Indira Ranamagar, Former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal, among others.
