Kathmandu: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has said the Kathmandu Valley will feel respite from the rising temperature later this evening. The temperature has slightly declined today.
Meteorologist Saroj Pudashaini shared that the Kathmandu Valley is witnessing the general impact of the monsoon, causing light rainfall in the afternoon. A thundershower is also predicted tonight.
According to Pudasaini, although the monsoon is spreading from the east and moving towards the west, it should be considered only as a pre-monsoon phase.
The weather will be cool later this afternoon compared to the last day, Pudashaini said, adding that the maximum temperature is predicted to stay from 29 to 31 degrees Celsius today, while it was 33.4 degrees Celsius on Friday.
