The announcement was made by the US embassy in Kathmandu on Saturday. “We are excited to announce a $33 million donation from the U.S. Department of Agriculture to support school meals in Nepal,” said the US embassy. In partnership with the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, and the UN World Food Programme (WFP), this five-year initiative will benefit over 120,000 children in rural districts, the embassy further said.
