Two die while cleaning well in Dang

Dang: Two people died while cleaning a well in Dang on Wednesday. 

Police identified the deceased as Mukesh BK, 16, and Ram Bahadur Nepali, 38, both from Damargaun, Tulsipur Sub-Metropolitan City-13.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Thakur Prasad Pokhrel from the Area Police Office in Tulsipur, the two entered the well around 10:00 a.m. today. Later, locals noticed them unconscious and alerted the authorities.

In response, a security team led by Assistant Inspector of Police Anand Hitang promptly arrived at the scene. Soon after, an eight-member squad, headed by Police Inspector Dam Prasad Shrestha, was also deployed. Also, a Nepali Army unit from the Ambapur Base Camp was called in to assist in retrieving the bodies from the well.

Despite being rushed to the Rapti Provincial Hospital in Tulsipur, the medical team pronounced both individuals dead, according to police.
