Traffic disrupted on East-West Highway due to road subsidence in Daunne

Nawalparasi: Transportation has been disrupted in Daunne, Nawalpur, following a road subsidence last night.

Currently, only one-way traffic is permitted on the Daunne section of the East-West Highway to facilitate repairs on the caved-in road.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Bed Bahadur Paudel stated that the road will be partially operational until 1:00 PM today, by which time repairs are expected to be completed.

The road collapse occurred in Daunne, within Binay Triveni Rural Municipality-2. Maintenance work is being undertaken to prevent further damage.

Drivers using this section of the highway are advised to take alternative routes until repairs are finished.
