Three killed, two injured in separate road accidents in Jhapa

Jhapa: Three people lost their lives and two others were injured in separate road accidents in Jhapa district today. 

The fatalities occurred in Kamal Rural Municipality and Mechinagar Municipality, according to the District Police Office.

In the first incident, a motorcycle (Province 1-01-017 Pa 744) collided with a bicycle on the East-West Highway in Mechinagar-7. The crash claimed the life of 50-year-old cyclist Bigen Rajbanshi of Mechinagar-7. The motorcycle rider, 20-year-old Abhishek Limbu of Mechinagar-6, and the passenger, 21-year-old Ramesh Shrestha, were injured and are receiving treatment at B&C Hospital, Birtamode.

In another accident, two individuals died when a motorcycle (Ko 27 Pa 3513) traveling from Kerkha to Damak went out of control and crashed at Kamal-4, Amaldugi. The victims were identified as 33-year-old Anil Kumar Limbu and 20-year-old Somraj Limbu, both residents of Shivsatakshi-8, according to police reports.
