Six Indian tourists injured in Chitwan jeep accident

Kathmandu: Six Indian tourists were injured when a jeep lost its control and crashed in Darai Lake of Khairhani Municipality-12, Chitwan, this morning.

Those injured are Sushmita Sudesh Khadiya (52) of Mumbai, Bijaya More (64), Rekha Ram Chandra Jadav (74), Vaishali Gupteshwor (58), Sudesh Shankar Khadiya (60), and Pankaj Gupteshwor (62) of Goregaon, Mumbai.

Of the 13 tourists, six people were injured when the vehicle (Na 4 Cha 8855) lost its control and crashed while going to the Chitwan National Park through Kumroj Community Forest.

Police said that Sushmita and Rekha Ramchandra were being treated at Bharatpur Medical College and others were being treated at Bakulahar Ratnanagar Hospital. 

The jeep driver, Santkumar Chaudhary (45) of Ratnanagar-4, is currently in police custody.
