Kathmandu: At least seven people died, and seven were injured when a jeep plunged some 400 meters off the road at Parewa Chahara in the Rolpa district on Monday.

The ill-fated jeep, with registration number Lu 1 Ja 3252, met with the accident at 4 PM. According to the police, five passengers died on the spot, while two died during treatment at a local hospital. 

“Some of the injured are in critical condition, and it has been difficult to send them to the hospital due to the weather conditions,” said the police.
