Saurya Airlines aircraft crashes during take-off at TIA

Kathmandu: Saurya Airlines plane crashed during take off at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) on Wednesday.

Attempts to douse the fire is underway, according to Dinesh Raj Mainali, spokesperson at Kathmandu Valley Police Office. The cause of the accident is not yet identified.

Airport officials reported that there were 19 people on board the aircraft, which was en route to Pokhara.
