One killed, two injured in road accident in Butwal

Butwal: One person died, and two others were injured after being hit by an ambulance in Butwal Sub-Metropolis-13 along the East-West Highway on Sunday morning.

The deceased has been identified as 56-year-old Kamala Nepali of Butwal-11 Devinagar, according to the Area Police Office, Butwal.

The incident occurred when the ambulance (Lu. 1 Ja.531), which was transporting a patient from Arghakhanchi to Butwal, hit them near a suspension bridge.

The injured, 55-year-old Harikala Nepali and 35-year-old Jhupa Thatrai of Devinagar, are undergoing treatment at Lumbini Regional Hospital.

The ambulance driver, Narayan Bahadur Magar of Panini Rural Municipality-7 of Arghakhanchi, has been taken into custody for necessary action, police said.
