Nine passengers injured after falling tree hits moving microbus

Dhading: Nine passengers were injured when a tree fell on a moving microbus at Jarepul, Gajuri Rural Municipality-5 of Dhading, along the Prithvi Highway. 

The accident took place when a tree fell on the microbus (Ba 1-006 Cha 6212) which was heading to Kathmandu from Dhading.

According to Makendra Kumar Mishra, Deputy Superintendent of Police, District Police Office, Dhading, the injured passengers are being treated at various health institutions in Gajuri.

“All the injured are out of danger,” Deputy Superintendent of Police Mishra said. 

Prithvi Highway was blocked for a while when the tree fell on the road. 

The police said that the two-way transport service has now resumed.
