Nepal Vegetarian Association announces “Non-violence Festival Nepal 2025”

Kathmandu: Nepal Vegetarian Association officially announced a three-day Non-violence (Ahimsa) Festival Nepal 2025, with the aim of promoting compassion, non-violence, and animal rights.  The event will take place from 28–30 August 2025 at the Nepal Police Club, Exhibition Road, Kathmandu, with free entry for all.

Organized under the theme “Compassion Connects”, the festival seeks to inspire people to adopt a fully vegetarian lifestyle for the benefit of animals, human health, and the environment.

Dedicated to all those interested in the values of non-violence and vegetarian living, the event also aims to build bridges of collaboration among animal liberation activists, organizations, and communities. Highlights of the festival will include interactive sessions on sustainable living, vegetarian lifestyle, and animal rights, flash mobs, musical performances, yoga sessions, direct meet-and-greet and experience-sharing with national and international activists, live demonstrations of vegetarian dishes and cooking methods, a special vegetarian gala dinner.

The festival is expected to draw over 30,000 participants and more than 50,000 attendees, and will feature more than 60 stalls showcasing vegetarian products, more than 40 speakers, and 20 participating organizations.

This event is a continuation of the Association’s success in organizing the 8th Asia-Pacific Vegetarian Congress (APVC) in 2017, which was held in Kathmandu with the participation of more than 35 international delegates.
