Kathmandu: Khamba Bahadur Singh, the Nepali Congress (NC) candidate, has been elected chair of Kushe Rural Municipality-7 in Jajarkot.
In the by-election held today, Singh secured 347 votes, narrowly defeating his closest competitor, Gorakh Bahadur Nepali of the CPN (Maoist Centre), who garnered 332 votes. The results were confirmed by Chief Returning Officer Shyamlal Ghimire.
