NAIMA to organize Nepal’s largest auto expo, launching 35 new vehicles

Kathmandu: The Nepal Automobile Importers and Manufacturers Association (NAIMA) is set to organize ‘NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2025’, launching 35 brands at the five-day event. The event will be held at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu from August 6-10. 

The organizing committee of NAIMA announced the same at a press meet organized at the Soaltee Hotel in Kathmandu on Monday. 

In the opening remarks, Gaurav Sarada, a member of the Auto Expo Committee, stated that more than 50 brands will be participating in the event. “This expo stands unmatched in scale and scope. Truly, the biggest auto expo Nepal has ever seen. NAIMA is actively contributing in strengthening Nepal’s mobility ecosystem, promoting technology, and fostering collaboration across sectors,” added Sarada. 

Ritu Singh Vaidya, president of NAIMA, stated that ‘NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2025’ will become Nepal’s biggest and most impactful automobile exhibition. 

Vaidya also shared that all five days of the expo will feature panel discussions which will be graced by various national and international experts. “On the first day of the expo, Anil Keshari Shah will conduct an insightful session on “Mobility – Hijo, Aaja, ra Bholi” from 2:00-5:00 pm. In the following days, sessions will include participation from various national and international institutions such as Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu University, Ministry of Education, National Planning Commission, Ministry of Finance, and India’s Institute of Road Traffic Education among others.”

NAIMA in collaboration with the Ministry of Education Science and Technology, and Council of Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) has decided to fund five percent of ticket sales for scholarship and research fellowship in the mobility sector supporting deserving students all across the nation.   

The Head of the Auto Expo Committee Shirish Kumar Murarka revealed that this expo will take place at Bhrikutimandap Exhibition Grounds in Kathmandu, and also mentioned significant infrastructure improvements made for the exhibition such as drainage system and disability friendly infrastructure.

He further informed that new technologies and models will be unveiled at the exhibition, including a display of vehicles and innovative mobility solutions. The exhibition will launch 15 two-wheelers, 15 four-wheelers, and 5 commercial vehicles. 

Likewise, Assistant General Manager of Everest Bank Limited, Bishnu Prasad Gyawali, and CEO of National Insurance Company Limited, Navaneet Gupta, expressed their gratitude to partnering with the expo. They committed to jointly working towards the development of a more sustainable and tech-friendly transportation system in the future. 

Special arrangements have been made by the sponsor companies for the visitors. Ride partner Pathao is offering up to 30% discount on rides heading to Bhrikutimandap during the exhibition. Medical partner Frontline Hospital will provide 24/7 ambulance service, along with emergency and general medical services on-site.

NAIMA has also launched a special online competition targeting the expo. Where, one of the best content creators who uploads NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo’ 2025 -related video on social media by August 6 will bag a cash prize of NPR 100,000. Similarly, other top ten videos uploaded between August-6 to August-10 will be awarded NPR 10,000 each.
