Landslide obstructs Saljhandi-Dhorpatan road

Baglung: A landslide has obstructed the Saljhandi-Dhorpatan road section. Tourists visiting Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve have been stranded following the obstruction of the road.  

The landslide occurred at Bhusunde of Dhorpatan Municipality-9, following the incessant rainfall. 

The Acting Mayor of Dhorpatan Municipality, Dhan Bahadur Kayat, shared that a landslide has taken place at different places along the road leading to Dhorpatan via Burtibang bazaar. 

Rainfall is still taking place in the area. “Efforts are underway to resume road by removing landslide occurred at different places,” he mentioned. 

Tourists heading towards Dhorpatan via Burtibang have been stranded at Bobang and Suprang village.
