Landslide obstructs Dumre-Damauli section of Prithivi Highway

Kathmandu: A landslide near Musekhola in Byas Municipality-1, Tanahun, has blocked the Dumre-Damauli section of the Prithvi Highway.

The District Police Office, Tanahun said that the road was obstructed by debris from a cliff that was excavated during the widening of the Muglin-Pokhara road.

The section was initially blocked by the landslide at 7 PM on Saturday, and was cleared for operation by midnight. However, another landslide occurred early this morning. Efforts are currently underway to remove the debris and reopen the highway, according to police.
