Kathmandu: An Indian passenger vehicle plunged into the Marsyangdi River near Aanbu Khaireni in Tanahun district on Friday. 

The bus, carrying 40 people, veered off the road at around 11:30 AM on the Aanbu Khaireni-Mugling section of the Prithvi Highway, according to Tanahun Police.

The vehicle, registered under number UP 53 FT 7623, was en route from Pokhara to Kathmandu.
