Heavy rain likely in some parts of country

Kathmandu: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has said that the country at present has the impact of monsoon winds and the low-pressure line of the monsoon in the southern part rather than its normal position. 

Currently, light to moderate rain is taking place in some places of all provinces except in Madhesh province, while some parts of Bagmati and Lumbini provinces are receiving heavy rain, the Department said. 

This afternoon, the weather will be partly to mostly cloudy in the country with a possibility of heavy rain at a few places in Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces. 

Similarly, tonight there is the possibility of heavy rain in some places in Koshi and Sudurpaschim provinces.

The Department said the weather will remain generally cloudy this afternoon and evening across the country.
