FNJ president Bipul Pokhrel resigns

Kathmandu: Bipul Pokhrel, president of Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) has resigned from his position following his inability to hold timely elections. 

In his resignation letter, he confessed the failure of the umbrella organization of Nepali journalists to hold elections on time. ‘We have not been able to publicize the elections schedule though the stipulated time for the elections is just a week away’, his resignation letter reads. 

He has also indicated the problem of non-cooperation from the office bearers to solve the major bone of contention to hold elections on time as a major reason to tender his resignation.
