‘Entrepreneurship Motivational Conclave’ to be organized in Surkhet

Kathmandu: A provincial-level ‘Entrepreneurship Motivational Conclave’’ is going to be held at Siddharth Hotel in Birendranagar, Surkhet, on July 3.

According to a press statement issued today, the main objective of the event is to solve the economic situation and unemployment problem, which has become the country’s main issue, extensive financial investment and promotion of entrepreneurship are necessary.

“Economic prosperity is now the main issue of the nation. Without economic prosperity, the development of the country and radical transformation in the standard of living of citizens is not possible,” read the statement.

The Conclave is a joint project of the ‘Rastra Nirman Manch Nepal’ and ‘Udhyamshil Yuva Shrijanshil Yuva’ national campaign.

“The conference is organized to develop the spirit of entrepreneurship among the youth and provide the necessary motivation, information, and knowledge for that.   Capital formation, job creation, and entrepreneurship development are our main goals,” said Bhupendra Jung Shahi, coordinator of the event.

“Now, various initiatives including the Start-up Nepal program are starting. which aims to promote entrepreneurship and innovation by providing financial support to start-ups. Despite these efforts, there are still challenges in encouraging more young people to take up entrepreneurship. Access to finance, market information, and business networks are some of the major barriers faced by young entrepreneurs.”

The purpose of the Conclave is to help remove such obstacles for young people with an entrepreneurial mindset. In this conference, where policymakers and entrepreneurs come together, the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers (OPMCM), the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and other personalities will participate in the event.

“In the second phase, a needs assessment will be conducted to identify areas where youth can benefit from skill development programs with a focus on creating local entrepreneurs,” added the statement.

After the Karnali Conclave, programs related to entrepreneurship will be held in all seven provinces, districts, and local levels.
