Kathmandu: Nepal Republic Media launched a new digital subscription offering that provides all Republica and Nagarik subscribers with unlimited access to The New York Times during a special ceremony held in Kathmandu on Wednesday.
Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel and President, International of The New York Times Stephen Dunbar-Johnson attended the launching ceremony. “With this, Nepal Republic Media has taken its longstanding partnership with The New York Times to the next level,” said NRM Chairman Binod Gyawali. “This enhances our capacity to deliver high-quality digital content to our audience both at home and abroad.”
“Back in 2011, we launched our print partnership here in Nepal with NRM, offering readers comprehensive local coverage along with The Times’s global coverage,” Johnson said. “Today, we are excited that this success continues and evolves with this new digital bundle, which will provide digital subscribers to Nepal Republic Media with full access to The New York Times digital offerings.”
The full access package offers Republica and Nagarik subscribers with everything The New York Times has to offer. “We are offering – for a limited time – our subscribers premium digital content from Nagarik, Republica, and The New York Times at an affordable price of NPR 3,500 annually,” Chief Executive Officer Sambriddhi Gyawali said. “We are committed to providing our readers and audience with the high-quality contents they deserve.”
