Kathmandu: The Narayanghat-Chitwan road section has been blocked following a significant subsidence in the Thumsi area of Gaindakot-9, East Nawalparasi. 

The incident occurred at around 2 AM on Tuesday, after continuous rainfall since Monday morning.

Bed Bahadur Paudel, Information Officer at the District Police Office East Nawalparasi , said that a truck has also been stuck in the affected section. “Efforts are currently underway to remove the truck and clear the road for traffic.”

In addition to the subsidence, a passenger bus with the registration number Lu 1 Kha 8513, traveling from west to east, had to suddenly brake to avoid the subsided road, resulting in injuries to eight passengers.
