Bishnu Paduka wins 12Khari story competition

Kathmandu: Storywriter Bishnu Paduka has secured the top prize in the 12 Khari Story Competition for his story Magyud Khona. Paduka, the winner of the sixth edition of the competition, was honored at a ceremony in Kathmandu on Sunday, organized by 12 Khari Media.

Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Prithvi Subba Gurung, presented Paduka with a cash prize of Rs 100,000 and a trophy.

The second prize was awarded to Prameya Bhandari for the story Kritrim Sapana, accompanied by a cash award of Rs 60,000. Bivek Dhimal claimed the third prize for his story Mainle Dekheko Bidyalaya and received Rs 40,000.

During the event, the anthology 12 Khari Best Stories-2081 was also unveiled. The book features 25 exceptional stories selected from 937 submissions sent from Nepal and beyond.
