Columbus, Ohio: The much-anticipated Nepali novel “Bhushko Ago” was ceremoniously launched on December 28, 2024, in Columbus, Ohio. Written by Ramesh Diyali, the novel was unveiled during an event organized by the Biswakarma Society of America (BSA).

Abraham Diyali officiated the event, which began with the national anthems of Nepal, Bhutan, and the United States, uniting the audience in shared emotion. The welcoming address was delivered by BSA President Arjun Rasaily. Additionally, a mesmerizing dance performance by the Yogita Group captivated the attendees.

The novel “Bhushko Ago” was officially launched by distinguished guests, including Gangaram Lamitare, Shivalal Dahal, Bhola Shivakoti “Puranaghare,” Khem Rizal, Pushpa Gajmer, and Lila Nisha. During the event, author Ramesh Diyali shared insights into the central themes and writing process of his book, stating, “This novel brings to light the realities, love, struggles, and complex human relationships within Nepali society.”

The event featured poetry recitations, music, and dance performances that entertained and inspired the audience. Prominent literary figures from the Nepali and Bhutanese communities presented thought-provoking works.

Students from the Himalayan Music Academy and the Yogita Group showcased a traditional Maruni dance, reflecting Nepalese cultural heritage. Singers Arjun Rasaily and Sheetal Sharma enthralled the audience with their melodic renditions.

The event also celebrated the importance of education, emphasizing the theme “Education is the foundation of civilization; teachers deserve the highest respect.” BSA President and musician Arjun Rasaily led the recognition ceremony, presenting certificates of appreciation and ceremonial shawls to individuals such as Dharmendra Timilsina, Nil Adhikari, Goma Adhikari, Surdasan Adhikari, Durga Subedi, Keshav Subedi, Indu Subedi, Tila Phuyal, Radhika Dhimal, Draupadi Pradhan, Dev Koirala, and Tara Kadel.

Speakers Gangaram Lamitare and Khem Rizal emphasized the importance of such events in promoting literature. Reviewer Shivalal Dahal praised the novel, saying, “Ramesh Diyali’s writing is simple and eloquent. Through this book, he has illuminated the truths and realities of various aspects of society.”
