Bandipur Visit Year-2025 kicks off

Damauli (Tanahu): The Bandipur Visit Year 2025 kicked off on Wednesday. Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Devendra Dahal inaugurated the tourism promotional campaign in the historical town Bandipur in Tanahu district today. Present in the inaugural of the campaign were parliamentarians Bhagawati Neupane, Gandaki Province Assembly member Hari Bahadur Chuman and Ashok Kumar Shrestha among others.

The hilltop settlement has been attracting around 100,000 tourists annually. The campaign aims to bring in 100,000 tourists within 2025, said Surendra Thapa, people’s representatives in Bandipur. A two-day package has been designed for the visitors to visit places such as Bandipur, Chhimkeshowri, Manakamana, Gorkha Mandir, Ligligkot, Bhanu Bhakta’s birthplace, he said. Throughout the year, 24 cultural programmes, literary events, adventure events among others will be organized, added Baisha Gurung, coordinator of the Bandipur Visit Year-2025. The campaign also seeks to launch study research into tangible and intangible cultural heritages of Bandipur and preserve them besides fostering amity and fraternity at local and international level, organizers said.
