Kathmandu: The ticket booking session for the 8th Nepal International Film Festival (NIFF) started on February 20.
According to the organizers, students will be charged Rs 100 during pre-booking, the general audience Rs 150, and the main event pass Rs 400. NIFF has also partnered with the Khalti app for the bookings.
Similarly, NIFF’s Creative Director Rasik Pathak said that Shambala will be the opening movie for NIFF this year.
87 films from 40 countries were selected from over 600 films received from 70 countries for the eighth edition of NIFF. Some of the selected films have also been screened at the prestigious Busan and Cannes film festivals.
The 8th edition of NIFF will screen 87 films from 40 countries from Chaitra 7-11.
The films will be screened at the QFX Cinemas at Civil Mall and Chhaya Center. Likewise, different discussions and debates will also be organized at the Nepal Tourism Board as a part of the film festival.
