Charge-sheet filed against Rabi Lamichhane

Gandaki: A charge sheet has been filed against the Chairperson of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), Rabi Lamichhane, at the Kaski District Court. He is under police custody for his alleged involvement in misappropriating cooperative funds.

District Court’s information officer, Suraj Adhikari, said other accused in the misappropriation of cooperatives funds faced the charge-sheet along with Lamichhane. “Now the verification of the documents is going on and they will be registered today itself.”

Lamichhane is accused of embezzlement of the funds of Pokhara-based Surya Darshan Savings and Cooperatives Limited and has been in police custody since October 18.

He was apprehended from Kathmandu and was escorted to Kaski. He is being investigated for accusations of misuse of cooperative funds in other districts as well.
