Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has expressed confidence that the Nepal Premier League (NPL) will play a pivotal role in promoting tourism and showcasing Nepali youth talent on the international stage.

Speaking at the unveiling of the NPL Trophy at the Dharahara premises, PM Oli assured the government’s full support and encouragement to the league. He emphasized the government’s commitment to fostering the growth of sports in Nepal and standing by players in their development journey.

“The NPL will bring a new dimension to Nepali cricket,” said the Prime Minister. “Cricket is both a dream and a source of pride for youth generation. Let this league serve as a milestone in advancing Nepali cricket. The government is with you, and my personal interest and support will always remain, regardless of my position in government.”

PM Oli extended his best wishes to all participating teams, expressing hope that the league would highlight the potential of Nepali youth and reinforce the belief that, when given the opportunity, Nepalis can achieve remarkable feats.

The NPL would not only elevate cricket in Nepal but also contribute significantly to the country’s tourism industry, he shared.
