Kathmandu: Authorities have urged people traveling between Hetauda and Kathmandu to seek alternative routes as a major section of the Hetauda-Kulekhani-Phakhel-Kathmandu road has been blocked due to severe damage.

Police Inspector Lalita Dhakal of the Area Police Office Bhimphedi said that the road near Simkhola, in the Indrasarobar Rural Municipality-2 and 3 area, has become impassable, particularly at the steep “Heavy” uphill section. Even light vehicles are unable to navigate the slope.

In response to the disruption, the police are directing people to use the Tribhuvan Highway and Kanti Highway as alternative routes.

Inspector Dhakal added that local authorities are actively guiding vehicles from Bhainse, diverting them towards Kathmandu via Palung on the Tribhuvan Highway to ensure smoother traffic flow.
