Six plays being staged at National Drama Festival

Kathmandu: A total of six plays have been selected to be staged during the National Drama Festival being organized on the occasion of the 100th birth anniversary of senior dramatist Hari Prasad Rimal.

A total of 32 plays from all over the country had competed to participate in the festival organized by Hariprasad Kalyani Rimal Natya Sangeet Academy at the Rastriya Naachghar in Jamal, Kathmandu, from Sunday. The plays will be presented until tomorrow.

The top three plays will win a cash prize of Rs.100,000, Rs.50,000 and Rs.25,000 respectively. Established in the year 2065 BS, the Foundation has been honoring creators who have contributed in the fields of art, literature, communications and drama every year.
