Minister Khadka insists on maximum utilization of water resources in Sankhuwasabha

Sankhuwasabha: Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Deepak Khadka, has promised to deliver in a way that the Sankhuwasabha people could take pride in. 

In his address to a program organized in Khandbari by the Nepali Congress, Sankhuwasabha district committee in his honor today, the Minister said this. The program also coincided with the celebration of the 111th BP Jayanti, the memorial day of BP Koirala. 

He said the incumbent government would be capable of promoting economic development and prosperity in the nation. 

“Both political parties have agreed to proceed with an amendment to the Constitution as per the need of the country. It will deliver civic-centered service, combating corruption and promoting good governance.”

The Nepali Congress leader urged the people’s representatives from the party to deliver at the convenience of the citizens. 

He also promised to carry out electrification throughout the country within the next two years. 

Minister Khadka asserted the need to properly utilize water resources in the district to meet the government target of producing 28,500 megawatts of electricity within the next 10 years. As he said, Sankhuwasabha has the potential to generate approximately 5,000 megawatts of electricity. 

On the occasion, the NC Sankhuwasabha presented a charter of demand to the Minister, highlighting issues facing the district.
