Ek Narayan Aryal appointed Chief Secretary

Kathmandu: The government of Nepal has appointed Ek Narayan Aryal as the new Chief Secretary. 

The decision was made during a meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Thursday. 

Aryal succeeds current Chief Secretary Lila Devi Gadtaula, who is set to retire due to age limits.

Aryal, who is currently serving as Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs, will hold the position for the next one year and three months. His tenure as Chief Secretary is set to end on December 10, 2025, when he too will retire based on the mandatory age of retirement.
