Landslide blocks Karnali highway

Jumla: The Karnali highway has been blocked due to a landslide. 

The highway has been blocked since last night after the landslide in Ranchuli, Molfa, and Furke of Kalikot district under the Surkhet-Jumla road section of the highway.

The task of removing the landslide debris has been going on since morning, said the Information Officer of the Jumla Road Division Office, Bir Bahadur JT.

The highway will resume traffic operations after landslide debris removal in the blocked areas.

As a result, hundreds of passengers remain stranded as the vehicles on the way to Surkhet, Nepalgunj, and Kathmandu from Jumla and Mugu remain stuck.
