Kathmandu: The government has decided to remove the governors of Bagmati, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces.
A meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Monday decided to recommend their dismissal to the President, as per Article 165 (1) of the Constitution of Nepal.
According to a minister, the cabinet meeting decided to recommend the dismissal of Yadav Chandra Sharma of Bagmati, Amik Sherchan of Lumbini, and Tilak Pariyar of Karnali.
The government has also decided to recommend Dipak Prasad Devkota as the new governor of Bagmati, Shree Krishna Bahadur Gharti Magar for Lumbini, and Yagya Raj Joshi for Karnali.
