US Embassy organizes Creator’s Mela in Kathmandu

Kathmandu: Creator’s Mela, a digital conference for Nepali digital content creators, has started in Kathmandu on Friday.

According to the US Embassy, the organizer, this two-day event is designed to sharpen and develop the skills of  Nepali digital creators and influencers, helping them launch and grow their online presence or businesses.

Renowned digital content creators including podcasters RJ Sabeena Karki and Sushant KC; Founder of Ideapreneur Nepal, Sanjog Koirala; CEO of Makkuse, Anushka Shrestha; media personalities Oshin Sitaula, Parakram Rana, Lemi Tamang, Sushma Karki, Shanta Nepali; CEO of Prisma Advertising, Ranjit Acharya; Saurav Karanjeet of Unilever; and Founder of Uptrendly Media, Monayac Karki among others shared their knowledge and experience through panel discussions, live sessions, interactions, and Q&A sessions.

On the first day, various sessions including podcasting, growing social media presence across different platforms, leveraging AI for social media success, reaching social media success, art of visual storytelling, addressing social media regulations, and attracting sponsors, and Q&A sessions with Embassy’s Public Affairs Chief Garrett Wilkerson and Spokesperson Zehra Naqvi, and performances by the artists were organized.

There will be 31 sessions and acts including 12 MainStage sessions and 19 interactive sessions on topics like podcasting, brand-building, monetization, and mental health, read the statement.

The Embassy also had sign language interpreters for the event to ensure that all sessions, workshops, and discussions were accessible to content creators with hearing impairment.
