Nepal gets first female chief secretary in Lila Devi Gadtaula

Kathmandu: Lila Devi Gadtaula has been appointed as the Chief Secretary of the government of Nepal. 

The decision was made by a meeting of the Council of Ministers, which confirmed Gadtaula’s appointment from her previous role as acting Chief Secretary.

Gadtaula’s appointment follows the suspension of the former Chief Secretary, Baikuntha Aryal, who was implicated in corruption charges related to budget allocation and the procurement of duty stickers for the Security Printing Center.

This is the first time Nepal has got a female Chief Secretary.
