Is nature giving up on us?

Kathmandu: The monsoon-triggered rainfall has created havoc across the country, affecting the lives of many Nepalis.

Continuous rainfall has induced floods and landslides in various regions of Nepal.

The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has asked locals to stay alert as most of the small rivers flowing through Palpa, Syangja, Gulmi, Arghakhanchi, Dang, Kailali, Kanchanpur, Doti, Dadeldhura and surrounding districts will see an increase in flow and there will be a high risk of flash floods in some rivers.

Several people went missing and many properties were destroyed. The Department has asked everyone to to take necessary precautions to avoid the risk or damage of calamities such as debris flows, floods, landslides, and soil erosion. Because of this, there is a possibility of a partial impact on daily life including agriculture, health, tourism, mountain climbing, and road and air transport in those areas.
