Three dead in vehicles collision

Sarlahi: Three persons died in a road accident at Rayamajhi Chowk of Bagmati Municipality in the district early Thursday morning. 

Dozens of passengers were injured in the incident that occurred when a passenger bus hit a stationary lorry at Bagmati Municipality-11, along the East-West Highway.   

Those losing lives in the incident are Hari Bahadur Chaudhari, Dasharath Kohar, 84, and Ram Karan Kewat, 50, from Mayadevi Rural Municipality of Rupandehi district.

Although they were immediately rescued and rushed to the Namuna Hospital, Hariwan, the doctors declared them dead upon the arrival at the hospital, according to a police inspector Anil Raj Giri.

The police added that others injured in the incident had received treatment at different hospitals in Janakpur and Birgunj.

The bus was heading to Janakpur from Rupandehi.
