Kathmandu Metropolitan City offices to open at 9 AM starting Friday

This timing adjustment applies to all departments, wards, secretariats, and project offices of the metropolitan city.

Kathmandu: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has adjusted its office hours to start its service at 9 AM beginning Friday.

According to KMC Spokesperson Nabin Manandhar, the KMC office has started operating one hour earlier in the morning to improve service accessibility.

The evening schedule remains unchanged. This timing adjustment applies to all departments, wards, secretariats, and project offices of the metropolitan city.

To encourage employees to work overtime, the ‘Kathmandu Metropolitan Municipality Employee Service Facility Standard 2080’ has been approved by the city executive body and published in the local gazette.

This arrangement will make it easier for employees working in government and private sector offices from 10 AM to receive services from the KMC in advance.

Spokesperson Manandhar said that this change aims to streamline service delivery from the metropolis and its affiliated offices, benefiting citizens before they start their workday.
