In a program organized at the Office of the President of Nepal to mark World Environment Day, President Paudel expressed deep concern about the growing impact of global warming on himalayan glaciers and glacial lakes. He also highlighted the serious impact on life and livelihood of people living downstream due to climate-induced disasters.

He further said, “The entire world including Nepal has been facing the problem of triple planetary crisis of climate change, pollution, and biodiversity loss. We firmly believe that these crises cannot be overcome by isolated initiatives.”
