Kathmandu: Nepal Oil Corporation has announced a reduction in petroleum prices, effective from midnight on Friday.
The price of petrol has been reduced by Rs3 per litre, while the prices of diesel and kerosene have been cut by Re1 per litre.
With the new prices, petrol will cost Rs168 per litre and diesel and kerosene will be Rs153 per litre in Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Dipayal.
In Surkhet and Dang, the price of petrol will be Rs167 per litre, and diesel and kerosene will cost Rs152 per litre.
In Charaali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhgunj, Bhalwari, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi, and Birgunj, petrol will be priced at Rs165.5 per litre, and diesel will be Rs150.5 per litre.
The pricing follows Nepal’s automatic fuel price mechanism, where the corporation adjusts prices based on the rates from its sole supplier, the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC).
According to the IOC tariff, petrol prices have decreased by Rs4.42 per litre, and diesel and kerosene prices have dropped by Rs2.45 per litre.
Prices for LP gas and aviation fuel remain unchanged.
