Budget 2024/25 Live: Finance Minister Barshaman Pun presents budget in the Parliament 

Kathmandu: The government’s estimate of income and expenditure for the upcoming fiscal year 2081-82 BS (2024-25) is being presented in the House.

Minister for Finance Barshaman Pun is now presenting the budget before a joint session of the Federal Parliament.

Prior to this, Speaker Devraj Ghimire granted permission to the Minister to present the budget before the House at 03:00 pm today. The budget was endorsed by the Council of Ministers before its presentation in the House.

It may be noted that President Ram Chandra Paudel had on May 14 presented the government’s new policies and programs for the upcoming fiscal year in the joint session of the House. The government generally announces the budget being based on its policies and programs for the given time.
