A team of police from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Division arrested Sirohiya from the Kantipur Publications premises.

The Dhanusha District Court on Tuesday issued an arrest warrant against Kailash Sirohiya, Nepal’s noted media entrepreneur and chair of Kantipur Publications Pvt Ltd, on charge of misusing Nepali citizenship.

A bench of the Dhanusha District Court, led by Judge Chitra Bahadur Gurung, has authorized the police to arrest Sirohiya. This arrest warrant follows allegations that Sirohiya submitted fraudulent citizenship documents to various institutions.

Reports indicate the existence of two citizenship documents with the same number but differing details, suggesting potential identity fraud.
