United States: The Reporters Club America is organizing its first general assembly in Dallas, United States in July.
A meeting of the central committee held Friday decided that the general assembly of the club would be held in Dallas, Texas, in July.
“We are organizing the general assembly in Dallas, Texas,” said Kishan Regmi, president of the Club. “After the preparations for the general assembly and arrangements for the guests are finalized, the date will be set in another meeting.”
Regmi said that Reporters Club America has evolved as a platform for media professionals and media students in the United States.
President Regmi also said that those interested in obtaining or renewing membership can submit their applications by June 15.
The assembly aims to gather Nepali journalists residing in the United States to discuss pertinent issues and strengthen their network within the diaspora.
Regmi also said “The general assembly will be attended by journalists from Nepal and America. With more than 45 journalists, including veteran and active journalists, the club, established two years ago, has seen a growing membership.”
