Kathmandu: The Chinese Embassy in Nepal has officially launched the Chinese Embassy Youth Pioneer Program (CNYP), aimed at empowering a new generation of young leaders in Nepal. 

The mega event was jointly organized by the Nepal Polymer Institute (NPI), Tribhuvan University, the College of Biomedical Engineering and Applied Sciences, Institute of Engineering, Pashchimanchal Campus, Pokhara, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University, India, and Institute für Polymerwerkostoffe (IPW), Germany.

The CNYP aims to cultivate a dynamic network of young professionals, activists, and pioneers from various sectors, including business, politics, sociology, and culture. Through a series of specialized training programs, workshops, and community engagement projects, participants will enhance their leadership skills and develop innovative solutions to address local challenges.

The program encompasses several key objectives including leadership development, social progress and community engagement. 

In addition to training, selected participants will have opportunities for exchange initiatives, including tours to China, allowing them to gain firsthand experience in Chinese development practices, according to the notice by the embassy. 

Aspiring candidates can submit their applications, including a resume and a personal statement, highlighting their leadership experience, reads the statement. The evaluation will focus on the alignment of applicants’ goals with those of the CNYP. The top 10 to 20 candidates will be chosen to participate in the year-long program, the notice states. 

Participants are expected to actively engage in workshops, cultural activities, and networking events throughout their membership, serving as cultural ambassadors to promote mutual understanding between China and Nepal.

The launch of the CNYP marks a significant step in fostering future leaders in Nepal, as the Chinese Embassy continues to promote collaboration and shared growth between the two nations, notes the announcement.
