Rally condemning Pahalgam terror attack held from Bara to Parsa

Kathmandu: The National Unity Campaign held a rally on Thursday to condemn the terror attack in Pahalgam in which terrorists killed 26 innocent people, including nine Indian soldiers and civilians including a Nepali national, Sudeep Neupane.

The NUC has called for raising voice against terrorism in Nepal too.

The rally that started from Simara of Bara district and marching toward Birgunj of Parsa district was briefly interrupted by the security forces, along the way, taking some of the participants under control, the NUC said. But the demonstrators reached Birgunj anyway, by following the alternative route.

Demonstrators chanted the slogans ‘death to terrorism,’ ‘long life to the martyrs in Pahalgam’ etc. Binaya Yadav, the chair of NUC, accused Pakistan of masterminding Pahalgam attack. The NUC had condemned the attack soon after the incident was reported on April 22.
