One dead, five injured in Gulmi jeep accident

Gulmi: One woman died and five other passengers were injured when a double-cap jeep met with an accident in Gulmi this morning.

The deceased has been identified as Kamala Budhathoki (32), a resident of Satyawati Rural Municipality-

According to Purtighat Police Office, the ill-fated vehicle (Ga 2 Cha 3262) was heading towards Butwal from Bharse of Gulmi when the incident occurred at Okeng of Kaligandaki Rural Municipality-4 of the district.

All injured have been taken to Palpa for treatment.

A total of seven passengers including the driver were travelling to Butwal as per the preliminary investigation, police said.
