Mamta Kafle was last seen on July 27, 2024, at UVA Health Prince William Medical Center. She had contact with a friend the following day and was last seen by her husband on July 31.

Manassas Park, VA: The Manassas Park Police Department has intensified its search for 28-year-old Nepali nurse Mamta Kafle, who has been missing for two weeks. Despite extensive efforts, Mamta remains unreachable, and authorities are urging the public to assist in locating her.

Mamta Kafle was last seen on July 27, 2024, at UVA Health Prince William Medical Center. She had contact with a friend the following day and was last seen by her husband on July 31. However, it wasn’t until August 2 that police were initially contacted to check on her welfare. Concern grew as Mamta had not been in touch with her family, friends, or employer and police classified her as an Involuntary/Critical Missing Person on August 5.

The Manassas Park Police Department, along with Virginia State Police, has issued an urgent appeal to the public, sharing Mamta’s photo and description in hopes that someone might provide information about her whereabouts. Mamta is described as 5 feet tall, weighing 132 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Chief Mario Lugo of the Manassas Park Police Department reassured the community that all leads are being followed. “We are doing everything we can to locate Mamta and bring her home safely,” he said. “We ask the community to keep an eye out and report any information that could help us in this case.”

“Anyone with information is urged to contact the Manassas Park Police at 703-361-1136. Anonymous tips can also be submitted to the Manassas City/Manassas Park Crime Solvers at 703-330-0330 or through their website, manassascrimesolvers.org,” said police.
