Kathmandu: Foreign Minister of Nepal Dr Arzu Rana Deuba has appealed to the UN member states to support Nepal in election to the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) for the term 2027–2029, while also inviting the delegates at the UN Human Rights Council to participate in Sagarmatha Sambad, that is going to be held in May this year. While addressing the High-Level Segment of the 58th Session of the Human Rights Council (HRC) in Geneva, Switzerland, Deuba emphasized Nepal’s unwavering commitment to the protection and promotion of human rights.

Nepal has already served as a member of the Council from 2018 to 2023.
